Our goal is to provide our customers with the best possible customer service while adhering to the current policies and ordinances set by the Harlingen WaterWorks Board of Directors and City Commission. Each person in this department plays an integral part as far as your water and wastewater services are concerned.
The Customer Service Department consists of 3 servicemen, 2 meter-readers, 4 representatives and 3 cashiers. Our department is responsible for handling connections, disconnections, meter readings, light meter maintenance, complaints, payments, and dispatching service calls as well. We also report information to other departments to help keep things running smoothly. We track meter maintenance/problems as closely as possible as this will help us keep our customers informed. We will strive to keep your meters clean and accessible but we still need your help in this matter, the cleaner and easier the meter is to read the less likely we are to make errors. We read meters once per month and bill monthly; your statement is generally due 25 days after the billing date.
